After using Windows 8 i thought of writing some features of Windows 8 that was not on previous versions of Windows

Quick and Speedy Boot time

   When compare to previous versions of windows, windows 8 is having the instant and fastest booting lees than 8 sec.


Tiles based UI touch centric or Mertro UI

   The user interface of windows 8 is entirely different from other versions and it is mainly based on touch.

Live tiles and Start screen



Windows 8 had removed the usual start menu and added a Live tiles or Metro UI start screen it is good looking and  good for touch screen users.

Refresh and Reset



 Windows 8 offers this option by clicking on "Charms" setting and choose change PC 'Settings' and click on 'General' Section. Refresh allows the users to clean or wipe all the settings made on your PC to default settings with one click or a tap. Rest will delete all your files on your PC and it will look like a fresh copy of windows installed if you want sell your Pc or hand over your PC to a new owner you can click or tap on this option

Improved search function 


 In windows 8 the is a search option will pop in charms your search within app or you can do a system wide search including your mails and messages etc...

Snap Multitasking


It is great feature in Windows 8 snap multitasking you can view a video while do your chatting on the other pane the screen will get split into snaps

Native USB 3.0 support

 Windows 8 comes with a native USB 3.0 support means USB 3.0 is ten times as faster as USB 2.0
And a new copying interface.


It also has other features like


  • Web Navigation by touch
  • Enhanced copying interface
  • Windows Live synchronizing
  • Two touch keyboards
  • Better support for Multiple monitors.
